We got lucky, less than 2" of snow and a lot less ice on our trees than I'm see'in all over our local news. Went to town yesterday, appx. 15 mi. north, and the farther we drove the more ice and limbs down we saw. Hard to imagine how much worse they had it than us out here just 15 mi. away. Predictions of single digits tonight and not getting up to 32 degrees till next Sun. terrible aggravating... Good luck to those less fortunate than us.

We got about 12" of snow here in northeast Ohio.
Work text me yesterday "The shop is closed Monday" that was nice.
It was fun watching the neighborhood kids playing in the snow! A bunch of goof-balls is what they are!
The roads are passable today. The bar is open, life is good...

The storm that just ended was supposed to go further south too, stuff changes. You might want to check out this guy's channel, he's from up in your neck of the woods

Final total of snow/sleet here 7.25", now dealing with below 0 wind chills as actual air temp is in the single digits. So far, so good here at home, warm, dry, and no frozen pipes. A little preparation goes a long way in events like this. Weather people are saying another storm is building for next week but further South.

I believe they named it "Fern"

Just look closely for alternating red streaks, even if they are faint.

White lines with a bit of red is perfect for Peppermint candy canes! !

88 degrees here in the Everglades, back down to 37 tomorrow night. As mentioned earlier, I've been through some pretty heavy snow and ice storms which is why I am where I am.

Hopefully everyone comes out safe, the biggest risk comes from driving, then falling branches and even whole trees not to mention live power lines on the ground. Other than that it probably sucks pretty bad being without heat and electricity if you're always used to having it.

61 and sunny in Phoenix, but that's the reward for surviving the brutal summers.
The photos from around the country looking like a hellscape. Hope all you who are affected stay safe.

Well, 14 mi. south of I-40 & we've been lucky so far. Less than 2" snow Sat., no freezing rain or sleet. Opened door and looked out this morn. and water dripping everywhere, off the eves, off the autos, off trees. Can see a little ice on trees, Nothing like what the Nashville news is showing. I don't have an outside thermometer but got to be way warmer than Nashville's 32 degrees... News says getting worse all day, Hope they are wrong.
