How or why are your sprocket nuts coming off in the first place?

Just ran the 18mm die and the thread came out perfect. I was worried the shaft was too hard of metal for the die but I was wrong. Still waiting on the jam nut frm fastenal and ill be all set! Hoping for at least 1 more ride this year...weather permitting.

I did the same thing in spring. Major bummer. Looking forward to seeing how that works out with the die set.

I haven't. Been sapped for time and space. Where did you get the new tap and nut?

I got the die new off ebay...and the jam nut from fastenal. I ended up slowly grindng off 1mm from the shaft down to 18 mm.

Its all back together and she rides again! Just in time to store for winter lol
