progress on the 550L
finished the 550L fiberglass tail section up and snapped a few shots. Still need to work on the leather portion, it needs a little work. Then i just need to figure out the brake light and licence plate mount.Tags: None

Very nice job. I like the streamlined effect. It really doesn't look like it started as an L model. Have you raised the fork up into the trees yet? If not, I would.

Byrdman, you aren't in Seattle by chance? I saw a bike very similar to yours ride by in front of the bar I work at the other night. I didn't get a close enough look to tell what kind of bike it was, but it was definitely a black cafe with gold pinstripes. Of course, there are a lot of cafe bikes here in Seattle. In any case, looking good.

Thanks - I hated the look of the L model i have a few pics of it on bhappy's 550 cafe thread. I raised the forks up until the hit the bars. I need to find out if clubmans would allow me to raise them up even more or i am going to cut the springs to lower the front. The MX bars dont allow much.Originally posted by isaac View PostVery nice job. I like the streamlined effect. It really doesn't look like it started as an L model. Nope - Raleigh NC. I didnt want to modify the tank since the paint was original and in good shape. So i just followed along with the gold trim on the bobbed fender and tail section. I saw one of the new Norton commando's in a magazine last night that followed the same gold outline on black - what i could give to have one of those...Originally posted by tateG View PostByrdman, you aren't in Seattle by chance?
