    Stainless Fastener Costs

I went on boltdepot.com today and assembled a kit to replace all the fastener's in my carbs with stainless socket caps bolts. My total, including shipping, comes out to 25.15. That's including the intake boot bolts and a 100 box of m5x12mm, it is only $3 more than ordering the required 40. I have not ordered yet because I wanted to check with others who have changed out their fasteners to see if this cost reasonable.

I had tried another ebay seller but not them. I'll shoot them a message and see what kind of response I get. Thanks for the heads up.

I've used these guys for engine bolts, great quality, great prices. They've got carbs sets as well.

Z1 sells stainless engine bolt sets too. Lots of different lengths. Well worth the money in my opinion.

I decided to go through stainless cycle on ebay, thanks 7981GS for the suggestion. They charged $54.99 for a GS1000 engine set, all carb bolts including both rails, and the intake boot bolts.

I'll be sure to post. I am looking forward to replacing my stripped phillips. Right now I would estimate that about 10% of my bolts are totally stripped and the rest are on their way to rounding.
