    Can you post a pic of your 850 showing where the needles came to rest after hiking them over the stop pins? That was something I neglected to do when I took mine apart. My 82 850L has the same faces as your 80.

      Does anyone know what material the gauge transparent plates (the one you apply the vinyl - or whatever - dials on) are made out of ?

        Will pull out the faces soon and note my markings...it won't be exact since their not yours, but it should get you close.
        {edit...sorry, it's been a hectic week so far...not blowing you off}

          "Exactly"...no...but it's a garden variety semi transparent plastic. You could probably take plexi, sand one side semi transparent with 1000 or so grit and make one that way if you lacked the originals.
