I have a 1981 GS 450 L and was wondering if I could buy some modern flat slide GS 500 Carburetors for it and if that would significantly improve the performance. Or if someone has tried this in the past. I was thinking of something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2002-...s#ht_500wt_956. Thank you for your input. Also it looks like they sell those carbs without a pump but the newer ones come with a fuel pump? Maybe I could wire up a fuel pump?

I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted.
