I've swapped out my needles and seats and checked my float heights. Everything seems on point but it still does the same thing. Very puzzling.

The tubes are also in their right spot as well.

first thing that struck me was clear fuel filter do you have an extra filter they are not recommended as generally they will not allow the amount of fuel to pass through if this is an extra I would recommend you remove it.

I just have the one inline filter. is it superfluous? I know I've got a filter in the petcock but I'm hesitant to run without the inline because I know there is some debris at the bottom.

We'll personally I would take off the tank and swill the debris out reinstall and remove the xtra filter this filter can and will likely cause running problems and I was wondering if when running the level in the bowls is low so when you finish a ride there is little fuel in the bowls this may be the cause of having to prime before it will start.
these filters are generally designed for a pumped or pressurised system and the Gs is gravity fed thus restricting the flow.

ok I'll try that next. I'm thinking when I ride it tomorrow I'll shut it off and check if it takes anymore fuel when turning on the prime.
