1980 GS 550e Carburetor
Hello, I have a 550e and previously the carb were rebuilt. After a few year I want to restore back and can’t find another carb. Some one in here sale one or know if there another type of carb work with that bike Some were in here I read the CXR 600 carb work fine with 550 but witch year or any other advise will be very useful. Is your current set of carbs working ok? Are you looking for a spare carb rack- all 4 carbs? GS550 carb racks surface all the time on eBay - all would likely need a proper cleaning. You'd want a set off a 1980 thru 1982 models, not a 1983 and up.1981 gs650L

Thanks for answer. I need all carb, because the ones I have my father in law remove it and lost so many bolts. On ebay I can’t find any carbs and I be searching for months. I need to know if the carbs of another suzuki works with the GS550e. With the exception of the GS 1980 thru 1982

The 550 ,650,750 and 850 all share the same carb body- bs32. The rack spacing, jets ,needles are different for each model. These bolts/screws that you are missing...are they internal carb parts or external? Can you post a carb pic and show us what father-in-laws can do?1981 gs650L

Lucky you...did he have a go at removing jets, etc? If yes, are they in a zip lock baggie?
Since finding another carb rack seems difficult at the moment, I think that I would put everything back together loosely and determine what's missing - you might find not much missing (if you're lucky!)
Or have you already done this?
Edit: recent eBay listing for a 650 carb rack..appears decent, but who knows?

No those won't work for you....you need CV style carbs, not the older VM ones.
Edit: have you tried loosely assembling your carbs to discover what's missingLast edited by tom203; 08-05-2019, 04:03 PM.1981 gs650L

I you can figure out what pieces you need, it is likely a member here has them. Member Chef66 or probably many others. EDIT... That pic came out pretty small. Go the AlphaSports fiche and choose 1980 year and your bike "550E". Then choose carburetor.https://alpha-sports.com/suzuki_part...uki-bike-partsLast edited by 1948man; 08-05-2019, 05:58 PM.1983 GS 1100 Guided Laser
