Just thought I would pass this by you guys and see what you have to say about it. I'm looking for a Supertrapp muffler, and finally found some used ones on Ebay with a 2.5" inlet. They're the less attractive S/C model, but I can make it look nice.
The first is http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=260282471295. It's located in Quebec, so shipping won't kill me, but is it really worth the starting bid of $70? These things sell for around $200 new from Summit, except without dents and scratches and full packing intact.
The second is http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=150286680932. A little cheaper than the other one, but the guy said it'll be $200 to ship from Cali to me in Ontario, Canada. Seems a little much, so I asked him to verify. Haven't heard back.
So, I guess the ultimate question is, are these all that good for mufflers? I like the idea of a Supertrapp, and have always been a fan. This is for my 78/79 GS1000 with a Kerker 4-1. Please let me know if there is a better option out there. Would consider a Yosh pipe, but they're pretty pricy, and can't find one with the 2.5" inlet.
