    HD cylinder stud question

A while ago I bought what was presumably a set of APE cylinder studs for a GS1000.

I was measuring them today to compare them to the lengths that BigJay posted a while ago and the lengths don't seem to jive.

    I measured:
    2 @ 187mm ~7.36in
    4 @ 191mm ~7.52in
    4 @ 194mm ~7.64in
    2 @ 201mm ~7.91in

    Jay posted:

    1100
    4 @ 6.150"
    2 @ 6.535"
    6 @ 7.600"

    1150
    2 @ 7.350"
    2 @ 7.475"
    6 @ 7.600"
    2 @ 7.900"

Are the studs that I have for gsxr or some other bike?

    The 1150 has 2 7.900 not 7.700.

    You have an 1150 set.

Then It looks like I have 2 extra 7.475 and missing 2 at 7.600. Would this be a problem if I were to use these studs on an 1150?

I cut and paste from your post which was on dragbike.com, not here.

Those are 1150 studs & are the ones you need to put the 1150 head on your 1100 bottom end. Ray.
