very nice man, making me want to do mine now. but I don't want to be without my ride for long enough to do it. looks like you can reach into the paint.

i uses Omni MH270 with the MH278 hardener it is suppose to be gas safe after it cures. as i understands but we will see. i put six coats of clear on makes the paint look deep. only own fault in the tank is i can see every surface flaw on the body work. that was my first time with body work as well.

I wet sanded my tank with 1500 wet sand then down to 2000 grit. My buddy had all the stuff to buff and polish it since he is very picky on his car detailing. He offered to polish it for me and I couldn't be happier with inthe result

the primer is duplicolor gray primer, then the orange is regular omni and the black is omni plus with omni 270 clear and the mh278 hardner. I checked it tonight i will color sand it or wet sand it probably sunday i will get a pic up afterwards. i put six coats of clear on it and that took forever letting each one get dry enough to keep it from running. paint looks deep though with that many coats of clear.

Looks really great. What kind of paint did you use? Can't wait to see it after you color sand it.

I painted my tank tonight got six coats of clear on it. Gonna let it dry and wet sand with 2000 and polish it. Looks good for my first ( custom) paint. Stripes were pretty easy to do.

Thanks for the compliments, I know Harley does the orange black scheme but I had to use my favorite color just so happens black goes well with it

The battery came with the bike when I bought it. It was a new battery so figured I give it a run since I already got it, those are the original coils I assume but I do have a dyno ignition on it found that good surprise when I started to do the valve job

At first I was like "aww man.... Orange?" But now I'm like, "wow orange!" Bike looks great. Love the signals. Excellent work.

I just noticed you have the old coils on there, no electronic ignition?
