    Low-Buck Rotor Puller (external thread)

This may be common knowledge and I'm just showing up late for the game, but just in case it is not well known, thought I'd mention it.

A low-buck puller for external thread rotors can be fabricated for almost nothing. The threads on the top of our fork tubes is the same as needed for the rotor puller. Simply cut 4" from the top of an old fork tube and weld a large nut to the sawcut end, thread in a 7 or 8" corresponding bolt and there you have it.
Screw the fork top on to the rotor all the way, then tighten down the large bolt. May need to put an impact or pipe wrench (and cheater pipe) on the bolt to break it free but works perfectly.

One word of advise, make sure the saw cut is square and the nut is weld on square also.

I can't take credit for the idea, actually came from a great old KZ mechanic!

    ride safe, greg
