Hey Beth, we haven't met yet but hamhocks, beans, & cornbread is one of my favorite meals in the world & I haven't had it since I left home in Missouri back in 79. My Mom used to make it once a month or so & I always loved it! I may show up just to take you up on that! It was truly nice of you to share in what you & Bruce have been through & I already had a pretty good idea that's the kind of guy he is! Thanks for sharing, Ray.

        Now that's funny!

No Tom, that is hysterical!!! Bruce found that quite a few years ago and blared it at me in the office after I had been on the phone for about 3 hrs.! At first I was shocked, but as I instantly recognized Foghorn Leghorn I couldn't help but crack up! And the sputtering thing...That is funny stuff!!

He JUST played that Friday night when Myree (you remember my beautiful friend, right?) and another gal dropped in and ended up staying for wine and talking, and talking...The new friend almost died when Foghorn suddenly came out of the computer and Myree & I almost ****ed our pants laughing!!

It's Bruce's way of teasing me and being funny (he is such a funny guy!) and it shows Bruce's sense of humour to include it in his post along with Thanks Beth, I love you. Next time you're here we'll take you down to the office and play it for in person and you will laugh your ass off!
        Love you brother, Beth
Beth, I only think it's funny b'cuz I've been up with you until 4am... uh...listening!

Sandy, you make me cry! I'm going to look like a frog soon...
Thank you for your kind words. Yes, I think Bruce & I are a match made in heaven! Especially when you consider that the way we met was by him being a manager and picking my application out of a pile. He had narrowed it down to about 10 good ones and then just closed his eyes and picked me! When we met face to face it was all over. I won't print what Bruce told me he first thought. I just thought he was so tall & handsome & had sexy eyes! Been together ever since, through thick & thin. And that bike has been with us! You're words were special, thanks. This is getting so dang sappy, we must stop!

RapidRay, you are so funny about the beans. That warms my heart! I was raised by a Southern mom and grew up on them. We ate them often, I think because we didn't have much money! But I didn't know that! They are so easy, cheap and good for you! If you want my recipe I can e-mail it to you. But it might be more fun if you came up, took a ride on the GS 1150 and had me serve them to you! Anytime! Also, they freeze well so I'll start stocking up for visitors or Street Vibrations in Sept.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Beth. Don't be concerned about long replies. When it's good reading it goes quickly. I've typed out small novels regarding carburetors and I also hit the limiter. I can only hope they were half as interesting as yours.
I've only met you guys once but I can see you two have a special thing going on. I wish all couples could know that feeling.
I just wanted to say I hope things work out well for you guys. I also want to say thanks again for how well you treated me when I visited. I don't know if I'll ever go on a long ride like that again but the couple of days I spent with you and Bruce and the other GS'ers will always be a fond memorie.
And Bruce, I loved the Foghorn link. I grew up with Bugs, Elmer, Daffy and the whole gang. I can't imagine growing up without those guys. I miss 'em. Foghorn was the funniest, especially the ones where he wanted to court "Prissy" so he could live in her nice warm house. He tried to be like a dad to her genious son and the kid would out think him the whole time! Darn it, I can't remember that kids name.
The young vulture "Killer' was funny as heck too! His mom would tell him to go out and get his first victim and he'd just say that goofy "uhhh, nope- nope, uhh, can't do it....." His first victim was a bumblebee and the bee kicks his butt! Aw stop me. I love those cartoons. Sorry.
And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

                This is just Awesome!
I am honored to have played any part even though smaller than I would have liked in such a great coming together.
                Everyone involved should be proud.
                Dan. Tom.
                You two are incredible.
Bruce, I'll likely never meet you, but I am very happy you didn't have to sacrifice your dear bike.
The GSR gets a pat on the back! WooHoo!

Ray, perhaps you haven't seen this?

The 4th Annual Western States Rally is moving closer to PNW territory. Bruce will be there if I have to lasso & drag him there!

I'm a little late but I added my 2 cents. (X 5,000, sounds like more that way).
I'm surprised no donors have laid "claim" to a piece of the bike yet. You know, name a certain part in their honor.
I'd like to claim the headlight. I hope it always shines bright for you my friend and it always gets you safely home to that wonderful family of yours.

Is this some kind of strip show?

Bill, that's exactly what I thought! I told him I would take the pictures (even one of him uncovering her! Then sitting on her.) But he is tired & dirty from getting & stacking wood all weekend. And it is cold and overcast.

I'll make sure I go with him (I should take the kids & Sam!) and get some good one's him on it.

Thanks for your nice post. You know your one of my favorite people!Hey, do you ski? There's a fireplace in the guest room if you (& your wife) want to come up for some winter play. My parent's paid for the kid's ski program for Christmas and they will start 5 wks. in Feb. So I will be driving them up at noon every Friday. Maybe if things turn around soon and I can sell some more "stuff" on e-bay we can join them at the end of the season...As of now, we need more snow. Pray for snow!! If I'm gonna being cold I want some pretty white stuff thats fun to play in! Hope to see you soon.
