    how do these valves look?

can anyone tell by looking if these valves are ok?

    ooooooooooooh, not so good.

But I am no expert. They look like valves that I have seen that are burned.

But there are some experts way more knowledgable than me that should weigh in soon.

    Good luck!

That may be all they need. I hope.

The critical part of the valve is that narrow ring where it meets the head. It's hard to inspect without removing the valves. However, you might want to consider changing the valve seals anyway, since you have it that far apart. There is a tutorial video that I made to show how to remove and install the valves, it is on BassCliff's site.

Look great. Most of the ones we get in here look like that, and they leave looking brand new.
