    Speedo/signal compatibility

I have a 140 mph speedo from a '79 850 that I want to use on my '80 1000G project. Is the auto cancel speed/distance sensor in the speedo compatible with the 1000's turn signal controller?

    Thanks,
    Buddy

SHould be fine. It is just a magnetic switch that's all. All the controller is looking for is a number of on off pulses. Adds up to 60 feet from what I remember.

If the sensor fits it'll work.
