    Speedometer reading too high - 78 GS1000

I'm pretty sure I'm not going 80 mph when old ladies are passing me on the highway. My guess is that at highway speeds of 70ish my speedo is off by 15 mph. At 40 it seems off by less, but still I'm going a lot slower than the speedo says.

What causes this and how do I fix it, please? Thanks, Tony

No fixes I'm afraid - the speedo is driven by fixed gearing. Just check you've got the correct size wheel and tyre (smaller cirucmference will make the speedo read high).

Thanks. I'll just have someone drive along side and note the most used MPH's in my head.
