    Bar Risers

    Just wanted to show a pic off of these risers I designed & had built.

    The nice thing is that I can just take out the 4 bolts & put the bars back forward in about 2mins flat. No need to adjust any cables or lines or anything.

    Bar position seems about perfect for me now, I only wanted to move it back, I didn't want any more angle on the grips or to add height which seems virtually impossible to find.

    Nice. There's folks our there selling similar stuff for big $$.

    Does it make the steering feel weird, to move the bars behind the stem but still have the mounting points in front/above?

      No noticeable effect at all as far as I can tell. I took the bike round my local favourite twisty route the other day & it was great.

          Added bonus as being solid steel they take a lot of high freq buzz out of the bars. Originally I was going for Ally but as I had them made Asa a favour beggars can't be choosers.
          Now I think they're probably better in steel....

            Ah. Let me see, you used the top clamp as hole and semicircle pattern... did you have a set back distance in mind, or not?

              I measured and drew it in CAD.
              The screen showed me what the minimum layback was to get clearance and this is it.
              Works out approx 2".

                At where I work (major appliance manufacturer) we obviously have a tool and die shop. Any chance you could email me a cad file? I'm short, 5'5", and have tyrannosaurus rex arms to boot. these would get the weight off my palms and in conjunction with the added vibration reduction, might alleviate much of my hand numbness.

                  DWG file do? I wouldn't mind another set if you could work that into the deal...?

                              Did you have to change any of the cables for longer length etc? I work in a maintenance shop and have all the equipment I need. Been thinking about doing this but really do not want to spring for new cables and brake hoses?
