    34 degress.
    Slight overcast.
But not windy, not raining, not snowing like last couple days.
But good day for ride with this new gear:

    Heated gloves.
Pondered various alternatives of vests and pants, and figured this best for the dollars and for the amps. Only 2 amps.

    Ew, much better.
At speed had it at 3 of 5.

Went for about half hour ride.
Which is a lot more than I could have done before.

Then came back into town and went to lake about sunset time.

      Hey Dave,

Nice sunset! It seems your electric gear is working OK. That's some chilly temps to ride around in.

      All the best,

32F and no heated gear with no hookup on the GS450, but as long as you dodge the icy spots the dirt roads are off the beaten path fun.

Great video Pete. Although I didn't watch all 20 minutes right now, it's definitely not what I envisioned it to be like. Are those pine trees?

Cheers guys, fun indeed! More fun to come though... the next run through that same road is a little more spirited after the moisture burnt off... video will be up at some point soon

Scott, that's just good ol' Aussie bush, gum trees and what not. There were fires through there not too long back so a lot of the undergrowth etc. is still growing back.

All of that is less than 15 min's from my house too

Went out today on my 1150. I had not even started it in two months. Been too busy on my new toy. It still isn't running perfect but it was fun to ride again. I meant to go out just to put air in the tires and fill the tank. Well two hours later and 100kms. Cloudy here but warm at 8 or 9 degrees.

                            Hi,

Wow Trevor! Great looking bike. Nice scenery. It's pretty where you live.

                            Take care,

Not bad for an eBay cheapy I reckon, and Youtube's stablise feature works well!

Don't think the video picked it up but there was definitely a wallaby hopping away at one point on the day, and I promise I was doing the speed limit there

I was quite amazed at the lack of traffic except for around the suburbs... made for a mostly traffic-free fun ride

Hope you all have a great Christmas!

Merry Christmas Trevor! I always love your pics. The weather never seems to change much up your way. Here we just got a nice mix of ice and snow so we will have a white Christmas but the roads are terrible. Great pic of the bike!!!
