    1983 Suzuki gs450

Hey everyone! This is my first post as a new member and I'm hoping someone out here can help me! I traded a .22 marlin rifle for a Suzuki gs450 2 days ago from a guy who couldn't get it running. The first thing I did was check the sparkplugs. They were at a .062 and .058 gap got new plugs at .032 gap and it turned right over!! I was so excited I jumped on it and drove it down the road. It wasn't till I turned around when the problem came about. The left ignition coil started smoking and the bike ran like crap till I got it back to my house. Any idea on how to solve this problem? Please help! Thank you!

To get it running right (and your own safety), you got a bunch of things (maintenance) to do. Smoking coil likely means electrical problem- head to this link and start reading
