    That was amazing.

I liked the one guy who asked if there was a "Buy It Now" price. LOL

Seller knew what he had and the reason it was on Ebay was because he knew there would be a feeding frenzy at the end.

Okay, you just bought this bike for $107,200 Now what do you do with it? Look at it, maybe take it to shows? It's not like your going to double your money in a year or two. However, if I were a multimillionaire, I would want it for my collection... I gess I just answered my oun question.

                Missed out on that one.

I bid on that bike but it got too rich for me so I dropped out after it went past $1,000.00

Just can't keep up with eddie21, oh well maybe I'll stick with what I know.

We talked about who might have bought it and figured the Barber Museum was high on that list. There are a few motorsports museums that would be interested, but Barber would be the most likely.

Whoever bought it would likely never race it (or would they?) - and it's not a mint example. It comes with a significant spare parts collection.

I hope the new owner comes to light...

Most KZ1000S1's were raced, and raced hard!!! I saw one totaled at Road America back in 1982, and it was sitting still when it got totaled!!!! I got some pictures of it after it got ass ended. I have seen many a S1 crash back in the day.

The one one that was just sold is pretty close to being in perfect shape for a race bike. I know of one S1 that has NEVER been fired up, and sits in a private collection of Kawasaki road racers. I heard the Harry Klinzmann / Racecrafters S1 is still in someones collection here in the states.

Heres what a S1 looks like after it gets ass ended by a sliding TZ750 at about 100MPH!!!!
