I'd suggest dropping one of the litre bikes out of the stable, but you must have both chain and shaft drive represented
Perhaps a solution would be to trade one of the GSes for the CB?'83 GS650G

Funny thing is, other than the 700ES (which I bought new back in the day), and the 1000G (got a two GS1000Gs for one deal with it for $1,700 total), I didn't pay more than $500 for any of the other bikes. Spending $1,600 for only one bike is kind of foreign concept to me, so there is that psychological thing to deal with as well.
That doesn't mean they don't have a lot more than $500 into each one of them, though.
Still, that CB900F looks like there isn't much to do to it other than change the oil and gas it up.

Ask when the valves were last adjusted - if he can't tell you, plan on doing this if you buy the bike.
