My 665lb Fatboy only has a single disc and it stops much better than some I've riden(owned/own) with double discs.
The majority of the lines are steel tubed.
      Jes saying..

          Not true.

Even as early as 1979, Honda was bragging about tuning their exhaust sound. No doubt they all do it.

Yes I agree they all tune the exhaust for function and sound. It just seems HD is trying to say it has a facility solely for sound not saying performance and sound but sound alone.

harley has control of most of the money made with anything to do with motorcycle sales. From their 1950 technology motorcycles, to their chinese clothing, to their japanese based new little bikes.I am glad to see something successful in the motorcycle industry, and their bikes are the inspiration for all the cruisers in the world. I have owned 2 harleys. They look good, run good, but unfortunately not long enough before needing repair.Kind of like owning a vintage bike, only theirs are new.

Just tires, oil changes and fork oil. That's it.

I think it makes a difference if you are the original owner, and if the harley was made after 2007.I was neither of those. My ultra had 80,000 on it when I got rid of it, but almost everything in the engine had been replaced.

You have to keep in mind, Octain's Harley is the exception to every rule. It's faster in a straight line, better through the curves and will stop quicker than any bike ever made. It's never broken and never needed maintenance.

Damn right! I know how to take care of my stuff. That's why I keep things forever.

It does require maintenance on occasion. It has indeed been an awesome bike that has never failed me yet.

Everything will break. At 40k plus miles with no BS mod work, this bike's in it for the long haul. I can see it exceeding 100k with no major work.
Don't hate cause I got a good one.
