Take it you don't have youtube where you live. Yes it uses the standard 10" tire.

Thanks. This painter has a lot of talent.

This bikes an 1150 square tube cradle back halved in NY for Jack Daniels out of Wisconsin who raced it in IDBA for many years. I had contacted Puppet to see if it was one of his but it was not. Forks are from a 90 which dates the bike. When Jack built the bike, it was button start, NA with single stage lockup. I am told it ran a best of 8.62 with Jack riding.

Jack sold the bike. The electric starter was removed. A slider, 5 speed and the full fairing were added. The new owner weighed about 160. I was told he ran a best of 8.22 with it. I can tell you when I bought it, the sprocket cap screws had been bent! The bike was too heavy for T/G class and he scraped it. I was told that they had problems with it not running true as well.

I bought the bike in 2003 as a roller and tore it down to nothing and started over, twice. I am not sure what the whole package weighed but would guess I have added 60+ for the rider, 15+ in the chassis, 10 in the batteries, 4 in the new bars, plus turbo and adding electric start. Maybe 100 pounds added?

There's about 8 PSI left on the table to play with. I've had a lot of fun with it over the years.

Picture shows what it looked like when it was first built.

I haven't been Norwalk since 1989. I have been to Columbus.

You made me go look. I bet its been 15 years since I looked at any. I saw one where my top gas bike ran 152 in a 1/8th. 4.88.(way to fast for the class) I then found some from my pro mod bike. 4.60 at 162.

I wouldn't do it again. To expensive and honestly the only person coming out is the track operator or the sanctioning body.

That first number was a turbo 1325cc GS1150 based engine. Kosman bike complete. 10 inch tire. The last 1395, turbo nitrous(I think...I did use methanol some) 1150 based with Kosman on 12 inch tire. Both 3 speeds.

That isn't that expensive to build now. All the parts are out there & deals are to be had as most are going to Busa stuff. I am building a new bike, Funny Bike type chassis, Ecotec, 1.8 liter, turbo on methanol. B & J 3 speed, Crower multi disk clutch, 13 inch slick with about 1400 hp. Trying to keep the finished bike weight between 600-650 lbs. SHOULD be able to run low 6s at that weight & hp. Low 4.0s in the 1/8 mile. Hopefully anyway. That is the goal. Building it to run 1/4 mile. Ray.

Thanks, I am hoping to find time to make good progress this year. With some luck I hope to be able to finish it before the end of next summer. It is a LOT different to have to start from scratch without using all the GS stuff I have. The Ecotec motor is pretty stout but I still have to girdle the block & that is new to me. Also TONS of custom machining for the clutch & trans. This is all new to me compared to a GS Motor with the trans & clutch inside the motor. Still gathering a lot of parts. I have the front end though! I like big brakes on all of my stuff so this one is getting an inverted GSXR front end with Nissan calipers. I like to have NO problems with stopping.

                            opening weekend at GLD!!

Well it is raining today but 2 days above freezing is a good start for spring.
So I have this Bandit and since it is going to cold and dreary I may just go out and throw a lever to shake down my newest ride.. My 1150 went a whopping 13:80 ~ 14:20 in 3rd gear LOL street stuff what a rush

Can't wait to get some time tickets with the big tire bike, but it is going to be a lot warmer and a lot dryer before that happens. -- I'm stepping up the power a little this year. bye bye mid 9, hello 8 something.

I hope to get the ZZR back to the strip this year . In 2008 with stock wheelbase, stock tire, no struts or bars in total street trim I ran 6.80 @ 109. Don't know if i can beat that but I know I can still run in the 6.90 range even with my fat a$$ and advanced geezer age.
