      Almost exactly to the DAY ...

                  It is an OE grab handle. I bought a used one from ebay because mine had an after market rack on it when I got it from by brother. After I got the seat back from Sargent from being redone I had the grab bar cut on both sides about two inches,(it I remember correctly) and rewelded back together to match the new rear contour of the seat. I had the hardest time finding someone to do the welding and actually sent it to a place in Florida. I was going to have it rechromed when it was done but he did such a good job I just polished it up and you can hardly see it was cut. As you can see I changed the handlebars but I also brought the rear of the gas tank up over an inch to be more horizontal.

                    Looks like the seat & bars have changed this bike from an "L" model to a "T" model. About the nicest looking "L" model I remember seeing. Personally have always liked the "T" model better, not as chopperish as the "L".
