[Hi Salty_Monk, I would be interested in the conversion for a 82 GS850G and shipping cost to NZ. I would need the details of the rotor / caliper etc that would be needed for the conversion. The photos that I have seen using the conversion look good but some of the photobucket links don't work]

I should get some more sets in tomorrow or early next week. I made a change so I need to do a test with both Calipers. You’re looking at about $115 approx to NZ.

This is a bit off topic but would this work on a Gs500e/gs550e 1979 dual front disc version? I’m thinking of getting a bit better frontbrake option for my little GS.

Should do... it works on anything with axle under forks... (I.e. not the L models and I believe some of the T's). It's also a straight fit to the Twin cylinder models & to the single brake 550 using a different disc.

The sets just came in this afternoon. They look good but I haven't yet had a chance to mount some up. I hope to do so tomorrow evening. It will take me a bit longer than usual as a I will mount up both caliper types (and take some pics of the new caliper type too).

I can definitely ship to Norway, I haven't before but I don't expect it to be a problem. If it's like other parts of Europe the costs generally works out about $115-$120 all in.

I got the new brackets in & mounted up with the normal caliper then today I got it mounted up with the new caliper type. It works well with either type.

One point to note on this bracket is it sites the bolt directly over the rotor rivets & as such makes the tolerances tighter. It becomes more important to pay close attention to the length of the bolts used & the clearances. It may be necessary to put a washer under the bolt head even with the stock 40mm bolt depending on the rotor used. The bolt should barely protrude from the caliper bracket.
                          Blue Loctite / Threadlok recommended.

See the main thread for more info...

EDIT 1/1/2023 - Yes I have a few sets of brackets/spacers/hub spacers left - Price is $104 shipped Priority in the USA. Most other countries tend to be around $125-$130 shipped 1st class package. Newest brackets also allow the new Ninja EX650 Tokico calipers to be fitted as well as SV650 & DL650. Just some pics of the

More riding time spent on the newer style caliper.... All-in I think it's so similar to the older style that there is next to no difference between them. The newer caliper is certainly more readily available both cheaper & newer these days. I've had a couple of sets, no rebuilds necessary just a thorough flush & clean of the outside.
