    Will a crankshaft from a 1981 GS650L fit into a 1982 gs650GL engine?

Anyone know the answer? The GSR webpage regarding engines and model sizes is down or I'd check there.

    Thanks,

Part number is same. Please check for yourself using this link. It's good to learn how to cross reference this sort of thing. http://www.alpha-sports.com/suzuki_parts.htm

      Nessism.

You are awesome. I will save this link for future use. Wish me luck on the crank install.

Have you gone through the bearing selection process to assure you have the proper shells to match your crank and cases?

Yes, this is real fun stuff, but this guy seems to revel in challenges!

Will, the 650g and 650gl engines are pretty much the same, just the cams are different. The only chain driven 650 was the e. G, l and m were all shafties.
