    Rear Hub

Hi all, just bought a rear hub /diff. and shaft off eBay, price was too good to pass up. They're off a '86 GS 850. Was there any change through the years / models as my bike's a '79.
    Thanks

In 81 the drive shaft flange size changed from the smaller version to the same larger version used on the 1000G/1100G.

Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.

You're right, thank you, I checked it against a spare gearbox output I had. It's actually the rear hub I'm more concerned with as I'm hoping it's where my bearing drone's coming from.

Hub should be the same. At least the gearing, bearings and hub casing carry the same part numbers. You'll just need to swap out your drive shaft.

Great, thank you. Anyone in the UK need a later type drive shaft with a perfect UJ?
