84 GS1150 Rims on 82 GS1100 ? Is there an easy and cheap way?

Ive got an 82 GS1100E, and Ive got a pair of 84 GS1150 rims (with new tires on them). However, when I tried to bolt them on I discovered on the front the disc spacing is wider than the GS1100 rim and won't fit. Is there any discs that will bolt on with a different offset that will let me use these rims?

I suspect you would not consider a swap to 1150 forks "quick" or "easy", so I guess the answer is No.

You have to get the hub turned down, I did some calculation once & I believe there is room on the hub to do it.

I think there is too. I guess that'll be a future project.

I suggest using an '83 GS1100E front wheel. It is a bolt on and has the same style as the 1150 wheels. It will also allow the bike to handle as it does now. And the fender will fit and look right with the 19" rim.

I know it's not what you were hoping to hear.

          Best of luck with it.

Well I gave in and bought the front end from an 1150... not the cheap or easy solution but I like the looks better now so I guess it was worth it.
