Thanks. First orders of business are to get her on a schedule and housebroken. We were up until after 2am last night. I’m guessing that being a rescue she has had little time outdoors. She is incredibly curious and every new sound gets her attention.

I love when they are small and everything is interesting....

Are you considering professional training. We did for the first time on our new pup, and I highly recommend it.
We did three classes, and not only was it a fun experience. He is a much better dog because of it.

          Have fun...

Not sure yet, but it definitely sounds worthwhile. First impression is that she seems to have a high energy level when she’s up. Max was a very laid back dude. Not sure about Lily yet.

We went to All Dogs Go To Kevin, which I am pretty sure has no location by you, but they were good.

They were group classes, so the cost was reasonable at that time. About $125 for a 6 weeks, twice a week.
We did three of them, and while we didn't work at as hard was should, (homework sucks), he still learned basic good behaviors.
Mostly, he learned how not to be a jerk.

Mine still surprise me. Their ability to learn is only limited by my ability to teach.

                    Good looking, pup....

My guy is starting to relax a little, at 2 years, and 2 months.

Great pup you've got there, Glen. I'm sure she'll be fitting in, in no time at all.

I went over to visit my old girlfriend and her dogs last night. She has seven dogs! I feel like a rock star with all the dogs jumping on me all wanting attention. I don't have a dog, but when I need a dog fix, I go visit the exgf. 🙂

HAHA glad you guys are still friendly Norm! Yes dogs are awesome and there is allot of research pointing to a symbiotic evolution between dogs and humans (over 33K years we have spent together). It's a proven science that dogs actually increase your mental state and oddly when a human and a dog interact both creatures will produce oxytocin in their brains, giving a feeling of being loved.

                            Quite the pack there!

Ha, yes it's nice to still be friends with her. We were friends, then we moved in together, that didn't go to good. She moved out and now we're back to just being friends. She really is a awesome person, she rescues Parrots and other types of birds. It's like a zoo inside her house!

Thanks. I had forgotten how much work a puppy is, but she has definitely bought some needed joy to the house.
There have been some added work we didn't think of. When we moved to our current location years ago, Max was full grown so things like small gaps in the fence and the Hosta which is poisious to dogs had to be quickly addressed.
I'm looking forward to her getting the rest of her shots (next Tuesday) so we can take her for walks.
