Yeah, it’s Monday. Still getting a great laugh over this, which I saw yesterday.

When I first heard this, I suspected it would be trash.
      I was pleasantly surprised.

        That definitely did not suck.

Thanks for starting this thread, Glen. Seems I don't get out much, musically speaking, and have been stuck in the same groove for a while now. When I'm at work I just plug in the job site radio and listen to whatever comes up. The problem is that they never play new artists on my go-to stations. On the bike I listen to Pandora through my phone. As soon as I lose the cell signal and it seems to default to the same station. Only way to change stations is to stop and monkey with the phone, so I just turn it off instead. Really need to setup a playlist someday.

This came on earlier while I was in the other room and I had to stop what I was doing to see who was playing. Very talented guy. Love the sound here.

You're timing is good. I had been considering deleting this thread or letting it die. With all of the attached videos I'm guessing it gobbles up a lot of space on the GSR server. It's been quiet so I thought interest had waned.

Music stagnation happens. We have a family subscription to Spotify and it has been a great way to discover new to new to me artists.

This was from my favorite album and band discovered last year

Good point, Glen. I've often thought about the space all this stuff takes up. The weekly game in particular. Suppose Frank would say something if it was over burdening the server?

My son uses Spotify and has been suggesting it for some time. I'll bet the monthly fee is similar to Pandora's. Gonna look into it.

That vid you posted is very chill. Definitely something fitting for a Sunday evening relaxing.

I just realized that Mammoth WVH is Wolfgang Van Halen, Eddie's son.

I'm certainly no tech geek, but I think attach in an external link uses less space. One thing is for certain -on my old devices, this thread takes an eternity to load.

I'd think Pandora and Spotify are similar. I've discovered a lot of new music by simply looking up a known artist, listening to that, then letting it play on. The music auto selected will typically follow along the same genre.

For those of you who enjoy Alt Rock, you must check out this guy. How he isn't universally known is a mystery to me. He has a voice that just blows me away.

Devin is definitely all over the map musically, but does have some great stuff. I do avoid his Strapping Yong Lad stuff.

                    Very funny guy in interviews.

We did a cook out Jam session Sunday night. 2 guitars, 2 amps and a drum machine. Opened with Jeremy, & Black PJ, Californication, & Scar Tissue RHCP, Wish You Were Here. Floyd, Iris. goo goo Dolls, Cocaine Eric Clapton, Drops of Jupiter Train, Lots of assorted Seattle grunge, The Lemon song & other Led Zep, and 3 or 4 from the Beatles red album. And a lot more even An Ode to Harry M.O.D. snuck in. Smoked brisket sandwiches, smoked fish and potato salad made it better. Vaccinated people only, LOL Music is like recharging your mind.

In a world where post-modernism is the new normal where does one go in search of the esoteric? RIGHT HERE! Another release party last night for Rubix Pube, a garage band formed by members who are all the children of ordained ministers in a Texas U.F.O. Doomsday Cult. Spongebob Squarepants meets RugRats meets Jimmy Neutron meets Capt. Beefheart. Sonic weirdness, they don't care whether you like it or not and frankly neither do I, they'll keep doing it anyway!

One of the first shows I saw after my USMC daze were these guys, on the lawn at the MN State Capitol, in 1986. An event called Taste of Minnesota. Ive been a fan ever since. This is just the front guy Justin Currie but Del Amitri had some great tunes over the years.......

Karma To Burn guitarist Will Mecum died this week from a head injury. Sad news.
