    Oil leaks Gs650G

    Trying to find out common oil leaks for athe Gs650
    i seem to have a couple.
    looks like in tach drive and head gasket.
    is it common for gs bikes.

      Tach drive is common, thanks to Mr bwringer there is help...

      It's smoke that make electronic components work.
      Every time I've let the smoke out by mistake, they never work again.

        Is that the valve cover gasket you're describing?

          Did you or someone have the cam cover off to check valve clearances? You have to be real thorough cleaning the old gasket off the mating surfaces to ensure a tight seal. In addition, you have to carefully retorque cover bolts.
