The Blue Ridge Parkway was a highlight if my USA trip some years ago.

Good luck and looking forward to more tales and pics.

Sorry for the sideways picture but it's the best I can do with an iPod. Tomorrow we're going to Dollywood on the way to Nashville then on to Kansas City then Denver.

The BRP is a wonderful ride. I hope you caught it in VA, and rode it down to Asheville. I was over that way just last week.

Be safe, and enjoy the ride!

In Kansas City mo. Sorry for the brief posts I only get a chance to get internet every few days. I'm taking pictures with a canon ae-1 so will have lots more to post when we get back. It's HOT! Been over 100 for the past few days it's pretty tiring but the bikes are holding up well. My tach cut out a few days ago and the tach seal is leaking a bit. I think my chain is stretching out o think as it's been very loose at the end of the past two days and have had to retighten it so I'm hoping that doesn't keep happening.

Here's out camp outside of St. Louis from a couple days ago

Probably to late, but in the spares dept, I would look at bringing a spare clutch lever. This spring on my Ky trip, I broke a clutch lever on my Triumph, which is the same as many Japanese bikes. Had 2 at home! Could not find one anywhere within 4 hrs of me. At that point my trip was over. I had trailered it down. Put it on the trailer and parked it. Figured it was an omen. Have fun, don't forget to stop and smell the roses and keep the shiny side up.

Been in Denver staying with some friends for the past two nights. It's a pretty cool city but today we're heading off into the mountains.
We took highway 24 and 36 across Kansas and it was awesome! Did it in two days and camped halfway. The last hour or so of the first when it cooled down a little was some of my favorite riding so far:

We stopped by the St Francis motorcycle museum on suggestion of a guy at a gas station - it was closed when we got there but try let us I. When they saw us looking in the window. Mostly early 1900s stuff which was really cool to see, some Honda stuff from the 70's one Suzuki but no gs.
Oh and easy ride replicas authenticated by the original builder...image.jpg

Is there anybody in southern Utah, southern ca or Grand Canyon area that we could get a pair of condensers shipped to and pick them up from?

Well we've been back on the road for a few days now, not sure if people are still interested in the thread but we hit canyonlands and arches parks in Moab, the Grand Canyon and are at Zion national park right now. Just over 4000 miles so far. We are riding to Yosemite next through Nevada about 500 miles which I am a little nervous about because of the heat and the isolation but that's kind of how is been for the last couple days in az. I lost a roll of film with some pretty awesome shots due to my lack of knowledge about cameras which I'm a little upset about it had some good pictures of the gs. Everything we've seen has been really amazing and I'll have loads of pictures to share after we get back ... In a month. Camping for the past almost 3 weeks has been good but I would welcome a couple days of rest...
