Opportunity to by a spare engine

    Hey good people,

I have a 1980 GSX400 that I have had a difficult time finding replacement parts for. A used engine is now on sale locally for $100 CAD and I'm wondering it it is worth it just to have around for extra parts. It looks like it has been sitting for a long time. Is there anything I should watch out for when checking it out? Is it worth it?

    Thanks!

No brainer.... Yes . Probably impossible to have too many spare parts lying around

I foolishly turned down a $200 parts bike. Within months, I needed clutch parts. Yes, I'd say buy it.

I've thrown away more money for less return...as long as it has the same number of valves per cylinder as yours, it's a very good deal. You would easily recoup the costs by selling off the engine covers in pieces
