My first inclination would be to go with --> THIS PHOTO <-- but since it was only motorcycle-caused and there is no motorcycle in the picture,

        I'll go with this instead:

2001 KLR650 too pretty to get dirty

Life is a balancing act, enjoy every day, "later" will come sooner than you think. Denying yourself joy now betting you will have health and money to enjoy life later is a bad bet.

This stray ignitor trigger wire that melted on to the exhaust pipe was the reason the bike wouldn't start one morning in July 2018.
At that point I just wheeled the bike on to the ramp and started using the XJ again. It was time for a top-end rebuild anyway and this forced me to do something about the dreadful state of the base gasket leaks, the compressions lower than they should be, and just generally tired state of the engine.
After all that, the sod wouldn't start, and that's when I discovered the melted wire.

Sadly, she was broken permanently, and I was broken temporarily. This was the same bike from my Tulip Trestle and In Action submissions. The was a high-side on 150 in Indiana between Shoals and French Lick.

Not a wrecked bike, but could have been.

Startling pic. I recall hearing the story at the time. I recall seeing that pic a couple times since. But, now, this time, I notice that the sidestand is down. Any significance to that? (other than why I notice that now. har har)

"Broken" is the theme, it's not a tag, so use it as you will.
Either works, as does Roger's broken fence.
                                Lot's of options...
