    sigpic2002 KLR650 Ugly but fun!
2001 KLR650 too pretty to get dirty

Life is a balancing act, enjoy every day, "later" will come sooner than you think. Denying yourself joy now betting you will have health and money to enjoy life later is a bad bet.

When I die, just cremate me and put me in my GS tank. That way I can go through these carbs, one more time!

Well this a timely theme for me.....as most of you know my dad painted my 83 1100e some years back and that a friend crashed and totalled that bike a year later....all I have from the bike is the tank as a keepsake on my shelf in the garage.
Well my dad passed away on Tuesday Feb 23 2021....
This is a pic of him painting my tank.

              Here's my entry:

If you are running low on fuel (I mean, you're hungry) it's definitely worthwhile to stop at Hillbilly Hotdogs outside Huntington, WV.
There's already a Suzuki GS parked there somewhat permanently. (here's the graffiti-ed bike, with mine. And yes, I did the graffiti.)

This picture may not make any sense at first so I'll explain. It's a Skunk tank, filled with metal objects, being spun in an old cement mixer in order to clean out the gunk on the inside in preparation for POR15 treatment. It worked out great by the way.

Streets closed to cars. Bikes on both sides of the street, and a line down the middle, and same on crosstreets for about 6 blocks.
I would not go too far out of my way to go there, but since is only 25 miles away, and one of the biggest such events in the midwest (or so they say), is fun to ride thru, see some of the goings-on, go for a walk, find a food vendor - - then ride on out and go for a ride. In the early afternoon, And get out of there before they been in beer tents for too long.
