Eli and the Eyeball in the sky gets my vote.
Bring that pic back out in Oct. for a spooky Halloween theme.

I'm voting for Burque73. As someone who has seen numerous whales and manta rays breach and never been fortunate enough to have a camera pointed in their direction at the time. Nailing a lightening bolt impresses me.....

I'ma vote for Burque too. Bob baatfam, that's a terrific photo but it doesn't say "atmospheric phenomenon" to me. But you knew that when you hail-Mary-ed it

my "take" on bobs bike at about that same time.
i was trying to capture the array of waterdrops, while minimizing distracting stuff in the parking lot.

but, image wasnt as nice as what I was seeing (which often happens)

maybe something more like this would have done better

                    Burque 7, Eli 2, Rich 6.

Perhaps someone should check & verify my count.

Very cool! Thanks for the votes. I went out after breakfast for a 125 mile ride and grabbed a few new photos. I still need to see how they turned out, so please bear with me and I'll have something up shortly for the new theme.

I had no idea how many folks had participated in this game. Thanks for compiling that data, Kerry.

Finally got a chance to sit at my desktop to go through some photos. After taking way too many pictures of this weird rock this morning, I didn't have time to look for other options before I had to get to work.

So, that's what I got for the theme. Weird, odd or somehow interesting rock formations.
