This folks is the bucket from the Bucyrus-Erie dragline "The Big Muskie"
This digging machine weighing in at 12,200 tons, 22 stores tall. Is in fact "The largest single-bucket digging machine ever built!
The bucket itself weighs 210 tons. With a 220 cubic yard compacity.
It operated from 1969 to 1991.
After years of just sitting, it was finally scrapped. The huge bucket is all that is left.
It sits in Miners Memorial Park on rt 78 in southeast Ohio. Just west of Caldwell.
It's a very popular meeting place for motorcyclists during the summer.

I've got pictures of my kids and wife standing in that bucket. I love the history of Ohio.

I work near an old fort from the revolutionary war.

                Yes, Hard.
                Brown County 2019.

Well, I hit pavement hard (broke clavicle, 3 pieces).
ANd then, apparently (I didnt see it....)
The bike went thru soft shoulder, and back onto pavement - somehow - no damage to bike other than scrapes on highway peg and crash bars - somehow.
Full details in BC 2019 thread at the time.

                >>later note
oh, now see those threads aren’t saved that many years back.

                * WHen I say I didnt see how/where bike went: I got uptp maybe 45-50mph, and then all sorts of strange stuff started happening, About the time I realised the sidestand was down and that I going toward edge of pavement, I felt a violent jerk and I did see pavement comming up to my face real fast. Bashhh, And then nothing. I dont know how long I laid there in the road.

Bike after I righted it. Before riding back to motel.

About half way back I realized that probably wasnt a good idea, but I kept going.

I mean it's true, he submitted a picture, but there is no bike in the picture, and the bike is a key part of the photo contest.
