    VX800 2 hour transformation

The flat black plastic coat the previous owner applied was starting to shred and peel, so I decided to "strip" the bike. With a combination of rubbing with my thumbs and lifting the edges, and peeling off the plastic coat stuff, I had it back to factory purple in about an hour and a half. Then I spent 30 minutes to do the annual washing and waxing and this is the bike's before and after look!
No, I'm not a fan of purple(maybe call it violet?) but it will do for now, since the bike is a hoot to ride.

Wow! I could understand couvering damaged paint, but geez....

Probably just increased its value by a good margin.....

Wow, it all came off that well. Good.
I would have been concerned that maybe some places it would not come off.

        Looks good.

Hmmm, I've heard of the stuff but never paid enough attention to see a before and after. Great job! Still might do my gs450 in chalkboard paint, I tend to cross paths with artists pretty often.

Crikey, why would anyone cover that up?

Nice! And I, for one, sort of like the purple. Very early '90s/post-Miami-Vice.

Personally, I would rather have purple than some other common colors.

The bike looks a WHOLE lot better.

I left the rear part of the front fender alone above the mud guard since it was in good shape. I kind of like the additional black offset. The purple makes it go faster and increase HP, but the violet hue does attract bees!

Well then, I guess I'll fit in with the Harley crowd with a purple v-twin. I've seen more Harley's with purple paint than any other make. Now I'll just have to find a matching do-rag...

Really? there was a purple Harley on the local crackslist for over a year before it sold, or the seller gave up.
