    An old friend going fast.

An old friend from back in the day....we were roommates when this pic was taken....he was fast! 9 sec 1/4 miles with no wheelie bars. He used to say "Trevor, anyone can go fast with wheelie bars"...he tragically took his own life years ago....

      Wow!

Sad that he took his own life. Fond memory of him in that pic. Thanks for sharing.

SUPER cool pic, Trev. Depression is more and more a life-threatener. The world is more grim for many as they grow older than it has been in decades.

          Awesome in action shot!
Always sad to hear of someone taking their life. While it may have been years ago, I'm sorry for your loss.

That would be Sparta.... I even raced my 83 Gs 750 e there...his name is Kevin Blackmore, he was a drag racing legend there. Looked like a mild mannered accountant.... very preppy. But a mad man on a bike. Very smart... when I lived with him he went to Western University and he wanted to be an insurance actuaries.

Yes, Kevin was a local legend. He worked for Lafarge, an industrial cement producer. I raced against him many times. I remember attending his funeral in Woodstock. The church was packed with friends from the dragracing community. We were horrified and shocked by his death. A grim reminder of the power of depression.

Nice to know you were at his Funeral. Kevin worked at that cement plant while he was in university and living with me...he did not like it. But it became a case of "golden hand cuffs"...money was too good. He probably would have been happier doing something else but it gave him the time off to do his racing.
He was a funny guy and it makes me so sad to think he was hurting so much.
