    Where's the pictures ??? !!!!!!

    1980 GS1000G - The Beast - GOING... GOING... yup, it's gone. I'm bikeless !!! GAaaahh !!!
    1978 KZ1000C1 Police - GONE !
    1983 GPZ750, aka ZX750A1 - restored, fresh paint... Gave it back, it was a loaner !!!

      There were some photos. But I guess photobucket is jerking me around.
      Haven't mastered the forum photo attachment feature too well, and it keeps rotating the pictures I try to upload.
      But, yes, that's it. Although in much rougher shape.

        Nice find! A couple exhaust options on CDN eBay. A few years ago if a really nice example hit the market the price was in the teens, not sure if that is still the case. Good luck with it.

          I just missed a complete exhaust on the bay. Sold for $300. Kicking myself over that one.
          Trying to resist messing with the bike just yet. Promised the wife I'd finish a couple other bikes first. ��

              One tidbit that's worth knowing is that the DMV prohibits moving a non registered vehicle on the open road, including in the back of a truck, unless you get clearance to do so. Reason for mentioning this is because when you fill out the Statement of Fact as to where the vehicle has been stored all these years, pretend it's still there. Have the previous owner fill this out or at least sign it. That way when you go to the DMV you can present the SoF stating the vehicle has been stored since 198X at address blah blah blah. They should accept this and then give you authorization to move the vehicle (even though it's already moved, but they don't know this).

                Yes. This I knew. Awfully silly rule if you need to have the CHP verify the VIN.
                Lord knows the CHP is unlikely to come to you to do verification.

                  I don't think that part is about verifying the VIN or what have you. That happens after you get the bike up and running. It's about making sure vehicles are not moved about without documentation.

                    You should be able to get that back on the road cheap, hit a swap meet where Ironhead sporty parts are a dime a dozen. At to $300 for a set of pipes, that's insane! Again, swap meet.

                        It should be a fun project.
                        Although, I will say, the Harley service manual leaves much to be desired.

                                That is entirely true. Although I was speaking mostly to whether the frame & engine #s check out. And there will come a point when I'll slap any exhaust on it, if only to get it on the road.
                                But, an original CR exhaust would be preferable.
                                And, it turns out the system I saw on the 'Bay didn't sell. The listing got pulled due an error. So....keeping my fingers crossed. Considering the bike was free, I'm not too upset if I have to fork out a little extra for things.
