Well, I thought it was a good deal.

Made some headway. The bike was missing the brackets that mount the cowling, headlight & most of the electrics.
After talking to several people on the interwebs, I was able to get enough info to make new ones. There are various places to get NOS parts, but they are frikkin expensive.
I dropped the tank off at a shop to get it cleaned out, as there is a lot of crud in there. And after the fiasco of my Kat tank, I figured I'd have it fixed by someone who specializes in that sort of thing.
Next is to replace the leaky fork seals.
Get a complete new ignition system, as that is missing entirely. Probably go with a Dyna S.
Think I'm going swap out the carb with a CV Mikuni kit. Right now it has a Tillotson carb, which isn't the right one anyway. Factory carb was a Keihin.

      Some pics.

Nice work on the bracket fabrication.

Good news and a nice surprise on finding a proper exhaust. It is a cool looking setup.
