    It's not a Gs, It's a T500 sorry

Does anybody know how to adjust the ignition timing of a t 500 with fixed base plate.
We tried to set the gap on 0,3 -0,4 mm , but then we can't set the timing on the right spot.
When we set the gap way to far on 0,7-1mm (witch gives a short loading time=dwell) then we can get the right timing.
    So what is our failure?

    Thanks anyway, Peter, Yordie

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Either worn points heel where it runs on the cam, or aftermarket points with marginally different geometry.
I've got a friend with a points ignition T500 and he tells me some aftermarket points sets are "wrong"

I'd be making the backplate adjustable....

You should join the suzuki2stroke.com forum. You’ll get a lot more help for the T500 there.

Are the points new? If so, compare them to the old points to make sure you got the correct ones.

The picture from the manual is some kind different, the base plat from our bike is not adjustable.
I will search in 2stokes, thx
