    82 Katana OEM parts?

Hi, looking to purchase master rebuild kit, caliper piston seal brake lines etc for 82 GS1000SZ Katana, when looking on Partzilla and BikeBandit web sites there isn't a GS1000SZ listed, what model will cross over?
    TIA

Thank you, it appears it is under GS1000S they are dropping off the Z in model listing.

Z is the year code, not a model code in of itself.

          Correct, Hot Luna.

Either 1982 GS1000S, or GS1000SZ. You don't need to say both. '82 Kat sounds sexy enough.

            "Z" indicates a 1981 build year.

but a 1982 'sales' year? I just went all the way into the other room to check it, and the back of the owner's manual says December, 1981. Front cover says GS1100E.

Suzuki Service man says GS1100, with a special section at the back that says GS1100EZ.

              Hayenes just says "GSX/GS1000, 1100 & 1150 4-valve Fours 998cc - 1075cc - 1135cc 1979 to 1988."

Is USA reg 1982 GS; I sometimes wish it was anywhere else so I could say it is GSX.

It may have been assembled in the latter part of 1981, but "Z" definitely indicates a 1982 model year.

                1981 model year is "X", 1980 is "T".

                1983 is "D".

And no, the letter sequence doesn't make a lot of sense. But that's the way Suzuki does it.

Yes, Z is 1982 model year.

Build dates range from 9/81 to 8/82 (or something to this effect).
