Yep, another beautiful shot. Sandy, did you do anything special to get such sharp focus throughout?
I only ask, because literally just yesterday, I started goofing around with in camera focus stacking.

Further to your question of focus stacking I find shooting mid aperture with a wide angle it's not really necessary for big landscapes, especially if you concentrate on focusing about midway through the photo to use all your available depth of field. That's the easy answer unless you're obsessed with mathematical formulas. LOL. Unless of course you're shooting with the camera very close to the ground or at longer focal lengths. I do prefer using focus bracketing vs focus stacking as you have more control over output. Focus stacking is generally an automated in camera feature where multiple focus points are taken and processed in camera where bracketing is done threw post processing multiple images the camera took at different focus points. Yes the terminology can be quite confusing.

Thanks for the comments on the photo. It's one of my all time favourites as was the trip into this lodge. We got to spend 3 nights there hiking around the area. The only way in is by foot or horseback in the summer or skis in the winter. Supplies are bought in by horseback and IIRC they're only allowed 2 helicopter supply flights per season.

I need to step it up. Wild flowers are coming up everywhere, but it has been some constant rain lately.

Did manage to sneak up on another squirrel yesterday....about 30' away. 100-300mm zoom.

Thanks Sandy. I still have a tough time with setting up big landscapes in regards to composition.

Often is lots of folks there, depending on weather.

About half the time I am there, will be a drone zipping around.
I have thought of it, but not for long. Have chatted with some of the pilots.

Thanks. The line on that one is good... Which can't be said about all of them from this morning. I was paying close attention to them though. It was another case of working in an awkward position.

In other related topics, I cleaned / dusted, my lenses, etc. They definitely were in need. Also blew out a bunch of dust from the camera bag.
