Yes. I'm quite disappointed with our weather forecast here in NJ.

Well, that's bad news. I'm relying on you all for some decent pix! (even if I had a real camera and skill to use it, "astronomy" is a joke here particularly this spring )

I may get to see it after all. Clouds are in the forecast, but so far so good. Fingers crossed.

Life is a balancing act, enjoy every day, "later" will come sooner than you think. Denying yourself joy now betting you will have health and money to enjoy life later is a bad bet.

Thief! We had a raccoon scratching on our back door a while back.

I did see the eclipse last night, but failed to get and good shots with my setup. Most interesting was setting up. My camera has a focus aid that makes the image extra large for fine focusing. While doing this, I could literally see the moon moving across my screen. Fist time I've ever seen that.

I bet with your lense, you could even see the moon occulting stars with its own motion if you wanted ...digital cameras are so amazing nowadays... Consider this from my first digital camera- not even good enough for a toy nowadays... And this is full size. according to my filename it's the moon through binoculars.

I'm sadly losing my workshop space for both the bikes and my woodworking as my friend took a new position at the VA Hospital in Augusta GA with a promotion. However, I was able to finally finish this 2-year long project of mine.

I also posted pictures of the gift to Jay in the Brown County thread if anyone is interested.

I'm taking the bike on a road trip to Gettysburg Wednesday so hopefully i'll find a way to get pictures in amongst the forecasted rain drops.
