The Ohio State Highway Patrol was at Mid-Ohio last weekend.
I like talking to them when we're not on the side of a Highway.
They had a recruitment booth set up.
I really liked their BMW. 20230722_125812~2.jpg

Wow Bob, that great. I love the color and perfect focus on the flower. Is this with the new 9mm lens?

          Thanks.
Nope, not the 9mm. It was my 60mm Macro. I took dozens of it with the 9, but never got one that made me happy.
This morning I noticed that flower was gone, but one of the other buds was opening, so maybe I'll get another chance...

            Bike and pic belonged to

My first landlord when I first moved to K.C/ independence area
He along with his son are responsible for leading me to my first gs, and gsresources website.
The landlord passed away few years back , but his son sent emailed me pics, they are Polaroid pics , son just used his phone and sent them...so quality isn't great.
Son said pic is probably late eighties?

his car he love in background, some kind if caddy.

Those are great shots, Skull.....That Panasonic FZ camera does well. I have an FZ8, that I found at a resale shop for $15. Maybe I should use it more.

these are old pics. Yea that camera did some amazing stuff for a 6.5mp. In the days before all the unnecessary features to take away the quality of the pic.

Unfortunately this dumbass got distracted and left the camera, ( in its case), on my ute tray overnight and a light shower damaged the view screen.

                              My Canon18mp isn't as good

Similar to Dave's shot but without the fun shadows. Also for the last two summers we've been dealing with Cicada Killers setting up shop in the gaps in the patio stones - they dig holes in the dirt. They are a large wasp, but generally harmless. . While shooting this pic I noticed them going after the bees.
