Wow, that is cool! It would make a neat picture to hang on your wall. It looks like it is from another planet. 👍

          Thanks Dave,
It was strange. The sun was out, but didn't shine. It was a bit confusing yesterday when I couldn't find the sun on a cloudless morning.

Glen, that's beautiful. If I had one criticism, though, it would be to straight that horizon line. Other than that, that's a killer shot.

I really liked the subtle shadows on the mist cast by the trees...

About that horizon line.... that place is frustrating in that it's an odd shaped reservior and oftentimes, even if the camera is perfectly level, the shape of the place causes the horizon to look crooked. That plus the dead trees that are rarely straight have caused me to either not use images or try to find a happy (as can be) medium between appearing level and plumb. This one could have very well been crooked due to operator error. I was in an awkward position. I did adjust it a bit already.

The horizon lines is very easy to get wrong, and we all do it. Don't forget you have a level in your display if needed.
And, it is a very, very simple and easy fix with just about any photo program.

And Glen...Outstanding photo again. You've done a lot this summer.

Thanks Bob, since I'm not working, I've been getting up around 5 30 and heading over there for a couple of hours each morning. Its helping me keep somewhat a routine. I may change it up with the moon coming back around and frustrate myself some more with night work.

The question is, when you hang pictures, do you hang them level to the ceiling or the floor?

That's a great shot Glen. Keeping things straight and square can be a real conundrum. Software can be your very best friend, or your enemy. Case in point with this photo if you just straighten the shoreline the tree on the left would be quite crooked and distracting so you would also have to straighten the tree. As mentioned both can be easily done with a number of photo editing programs. What do you generally use?
