Nothing too wonderful this morning, but this detail caught my eye. After some cropping, etc, I find it more interesting.

At first glance it looks like it could be hanging in one of those wicca/woo/crystal and pyramid stores. Good eye db.

Ha. It was right at the water's edge. One of those situations that makes me want to get a macro lens.

I like the looking thru the rail at the lighthouse aspect.
It's like two images in one - the line of the rail, or look thru the rail to see whats beyond.

That was downright gorgeous Glen. Can't ask for a better shot.

I took a cold walk through the Dayton VA Grotto this morning then on to Ludlow Falls.

One of the most hated, irritating, and stubborn no good birds out this way is the Canada Goose. I'm not quite sure why they are so protected but they will literally stop traffic for several minutes in some places while they just stroll across the road. However, I was glad to have the chance to get this picture while a few of them struggled to get on land from the icy pond. The smarter ones swam to the far end where it must have been easier to walk up.

Then, I was very surprised when I arrived at the falls and found they had cleared out almost all of the debris from the riverbed. I wish I could have helped some but it sure made it much easier to get these shots without trying to break a leg crawling over tree trunks/limbs. The water was flowing but you had to look very closely due to the ice flows.

                    Icecream bananas!

They're really called blue java bananas, they aren't blue when they're ripe, but they do taste very similar to vanilla icecream!

I have two of them growing in my backyard and i can't wait to see them fruit and try the banana!

There are also pink bananas but I dont know a single thing about them!

Scott, nice. The middle one with the stones in the foreground and falls in the distance is my favorite. I like those types of shots with a prominent nicely composed foreground leading to an equally interesting background.

Geese are a problem here as well to the point that they have caused environmental issues in certain parks / ponds. They also make a mess on some of the large warehouse roofs that we work on.

Ian, that banana picture is cool. I like the symmetry and curve of the clustereo bananas. I didn’t know that they grow upwards.

Yes, Wife and I enjoyed seeing Buster Keaton silent movies played at big old theater in Muskegon that has the big organ yet. We went just for something to do, to see the silent movies, did not know it was the International Buster Keaton Festival. Ha! That explained all the folks dressed in costumes, and many seemed to know each other (kinda like at a GSR rally). We have been back for two other times (No, did not join the society, the "Damfinos".)

I might be able to find my pics of the theater.

Picture my brother posted on FB .... from our mothers picture book, 1957, me, not yet 5 years old, Detroit 9 Michigan

About all I remember of that bike is:
                                - the sharp end of handlebars without having grips.
                                - that light on front fender with deteriorated battery ozzing stuff that ate the paint off the fender.
                                - getting rear wheel suspended in mud puddle by training wheels and having fun slinging the muddy water when spinning rear wheel.

I suspect pic is when first got the bike.

The place of that picture became I-75 a couple years later. Actaully that place is about 25-30 feet above I-75, since I-75 is down in a trench in that area.
