      And if you do find a tank - check out the the fuel tap mounting point - the SN tank has holes something like 44mm apart for fuel tap with lever, the ST tank has the holes 50 mm apart for the vacuum tap and in a different location.
      Mounting the ST tank with SN fuel tap is possible but awkward - the fuel tap holes can be ovalled, but the fuel tap will be out of normal position and the lever will hit the air filter box in the down position.

        The 1980 tanks fit either bike. The smaller petcock on the '80 easily clears the VM carbs on the '79.

        Same goes for the "E" tanks of those two years, which you are more likely to find.
