    1972 Yamaha R5C

I decided to sell my old 2 smoker as I really dont h ave funds for another resto project on top of all the others already in line. Tommy has been talking about RDs forever because he had one way back when. I told him if he wanted to fund this rebuild he could buy it and he readily jumped in.

I have the oil tank, right side cover, and oil tank ready for clear. Im gonna paint the headlight ears and bucket together so they are looking he same when dried. Anyway heres the tank

Looks good, Chuck. Did you paint the tank black first and then tape off the stripes?

I've got an R5F manual here if you need any questions answered...

I turned one into a TR3 copy back in '73.

Sold the R5 and am gonna pick up a 72 Yamaha DS7 250cc smoker. Far more complete than the R5 was and only 175 bucks out of pocket. Gonna be a while till i can get into it but should be a fun project

Nice paint job. Got a picture of the DS7 250?

PS: The Yamaha 250/350's were splitting images except for 100cc displacement. Wonder why the DS7 designation for the 250. Sure there is a reason.
